Narrative description of the project:  The objectives of the Microfinance Industry Mapping are to:1.   Provide a comprehensive review/mapping of the microfinance market in Indonesia, which should include at a minimum the number and type of FIs serving MSMEs, the size of individual market players as well as the industry as a whole, and the extent of customer outreach, among other relevant findings;

2.   Assist IFC, in terms of both investment and advisory services, to develop a focused list of potential client FIs with whom to work to increase outreach to MSMEs.Base on the objectives, it is expected that the study will be able to provide a comprehensive review/mapping of the microfinance market in Indonesia which will be presented in a comprehensive report.  Moreover, we will conduct analysis of mapping results and formulating recommendation regarding the most attractive potential client banks for IFC taking into account IFC’s selection criteria, potential for expansion, as well as activities of other investors, donors, and/or international organizations.

Narrative description of Project:HPAI H5N1 virus has occurred more frequently in greater Jakarta than any other urban area in the world. In respond, the provincial government of DKI Jakarta passed a regulation on 24 April 2007 banning the rearing, movement and slaughtering of live poultry. This project was analyze the constrain and opportunities related to the ban on the import, processing and sale of live chickens in DKI Jakarta and recommend measures to reduce the negative impact of the ban on critical stakeholders

Narrative description of Project:Indonesia has adopted various policies for biofuel development in response to a growing scarcity of fossil fuel, its rising price and with the objectives of contributing to agricultural development and poverty reduction. Despite the interest in biofuel, there are many areas that are under-researched and because of this there is no good basis on which policies for its promotion can be formulated. There is also a lot of concerns about Indonesia’s environment related with improving biofuel in Indonesia. Against to the background, the goal of the project is to help Indonesia policy makers and other stakeholders put together a coherent set of policies on biofuel development based on a systematic and rigorous assessment of the effect of biofuel development on food security and the environment in the context of Indonesia’s political economy environment.

To mitigate the reduction strategy, we are conduct a survey to small farmer who has a chicken or poultry to mitigate how the farmers do to a control of HPAI, what farmers do if they heard information about the HPAI, what they are thinking if the government officer do extermination to the chickens and they are receive the compensations and their perception if the government supervise the moving of the chicken form one region to another region.
