Narrative Description of Project  The study aims to gain understanding in three topics. First, to identify the different financing schemes in the oil palm sector with emphasis in the provision of credit to smallholder farmers, and describe the ways in which they are operational. Second, to understand the perspective of the (formal and informal) lenders in how effective are the different financing schemes in providing financial resources for attending the demand of smallholders for investments in plantations expansion and operational expenses. Third, to analyze the borrowing behaviour of smallholders associated with specific cash flows in oil palm production. By achieving these aims,it is expected that the study will result in understanding the degree to which existing financing schemes – both formal and informal – operates and whether they matches with the demand for financing by oil palm smallholders.

Narrative Description of Project  The market study focus on rice, beef, sugar, salt, chili, and shallot. The objectives of conducting this market study are to assist competition authority (KPPU) and regulatory authorities (RAs) in understanding the selected food markets and competition issues in those markets, enhance the process of competition mainstreaming in Indonesian food sector throigh awareness and involvement of KPPU and RAs officials and promote understanding of the role of competition policy to the food sector examined, identify the competition issues and other relevant problems in each selected market and provide recommendations and solution, and improve the capacity and competency of KPPU’s staffs in conducting market study. The market study expected to provide a review of the economic, trade, and agricultural policies, as well as the regulations that apply to the six products markets mentioned, analyze the market structure and interactions between the market players, look into the cost and price trends in the selected products, identify the competition issues and other relevant problems in the market, and provide recommendation for each food sector studied on how to adress the problems identified solution to improve the functioning of these markets in the best interest of consumers.

Narrative Description of Project  The aim of this project is to develop a roadmap of BHFC research in line with the vision, mission and transformation of Bank BTN by considering the enabling environment as well as the external environment which strategically affect the performance of BTN as a housing-focused financial institution by identify short, middle, and long term research, identify continuous and seasonal research, identify research which will give benefit for BTN, and identify the steps that will be taken after the research roadmap formed. This BHFC research road map serves as a guide and direction of BHFC’s research activities so that the researches are conducted effectively and integrated and provide optimal benefits not only for internal Bank BTN but also for stakeholders of Bank BTN.

Narrative Description of Project  The main objective of this study is to improve quality of BTN Housing Index to be accurately reflecting the housing market. The specific objectives include: (1) to examine whether the current methods for measuring BTN Housing Index using Chained Fisher Index still relevant, (2) to assess whether the calculation approach for area of economic center or big city, sub area urban, rural urban, and industrial cities can be applied (3) to evaluate and recommend types of methods, data, and framework templates required in improving the BTN house price index, (4) to evaluate whether the BTN Housing Price Index using data of KPR non subsidized Bank BTN are representing the national house price index, and (5) to consider alternative indicator besides credit realization.of Bank BTN.
